Obama confirmed that abortions would not be covered in his healthcare plan.  He wanted to give healthcare workers the  opportunity to utilize their conscience.

Yes, pandering on this issue and so much more.

I hate this, but publicly available health care may have to come before elective abortions.  Not the end of the world if abortions are still available and legal.
